About Us

Founded in 2025, The Carrlos Code Initiative was created with a vision to prevent youth gun violence by equipping young people with the values, skills, and support they need to choose peace over violence. Inspired by the life and legacy of Carrlos Piggee, we believe every young person deserves the chance to grow with dignity, resilience, and hope.

Our work centers on creating safe, healing-centered spaces where youth can build life skills, develop leadership, and find mentorship rooted in respect and accountability. Through group mentoring, structured academies, conflict resolution, and advocacy, we provide the tools and encouragement youth need to thrive as leaders and peace-builders in their communities.

At The Carrlos Code Initiative, we’re more than a youth program—we’re a movement for change. We build trust, foster resilience, and create opportunities for transformation through programs grounded in compassion, integrity, and community. Together, we empower youth to embrace The Carrlos Code as a way of life and to become the positive change their communities need.

Meet Our Founders

Latina Piggee – Founder of The Carrlos Code Initiative

Latina Piggee is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, a community leader, and the visionary founder of The Carrlos Code Initiative. For Latina, the mission is deeply personal—born out of honoring the life and legacy of her husband, Carrlos Piggee, whose story inspires a movement dedicated to preventing youth gun violence and fostering peace.

Driven by love, resilience, and a belief that every young person deserves the chance to choose peace over violence, Latina envisioned an organization that would equip youth with the tools, mentorship, and values needed to thrive. In 2025, she turned that vision into reality by establishing The Carrlos Code Initiative, a nonprofit rooted in mentorship, advocacy, and healing-centered community support.

Under Latina’s leadership, The Carrlos Code Initiative has grown into more than a youth program—it is a safe haven where young people find guidance, healing, and purpose. Her approach blends compassion, accountability, and action, ensuring that every participant not only learns The Carrlos Code but also embraces it as a way of life, grounded in integrity, resilience, and hope.

Latina continues to lead with courage and vision, reminding the community that change is possible when we invest in our youth, uplift their voices, and walk beside them on their journey toward peace.
